The JUMP! Foundation is a non-profit organization that believes in inspiring, empowering, and engaging youth through collaborative and innovative experiential learning programs. JUMP! facilitates participants to develop personal, community, and inter-community leadership skills. To help realize our vision for a world in which young people fulfil their true potential, JUMP! donates a proportion of its revenue to support experiential youth-focused development projects around the world.
JUMP! PROGRAMS
JUMP! Schools:
High-impact programs which take place on a school campus. JUMP! Schools programs are typically 2-5 days in length and explore leadership training, facilitation training, design thinking, and global citizenship education.
JUMP! Experiences:
Off-campus programs take students out of the classroom and into the field. Programs are typically 1-2 weeks in length and take students out of their comfort zone; be it hiking in the Himalayas, rock climbing in Thailand, or exploring history and culture in Indonesia.
JUMP! Impact:
Through the JUMP! Impact Fund, JUMP! partners with local NGOs to implement social innovation programs where under-resourced youths receive training, design Impact Projects for their communities, and implement their projects with seed funding and mentorship. To date, JUMP! Impact has served over 3,000 youth in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The JUMP! Foundation is currently seeking a skilled and energetic candidate to fill the role of Regional Partnership Director for Canada based in Vancouver, Canada. This individual will be an educational visionary who is also an enthusiastic and goal-oriented manager. The Regional Partnership Director will direct and manage all projects related to staff development, program innovation & risk management for experiential education programs in the region. The Regional Partnership Director will effectively solve problems through individual initiative; accurately communicate with the JUMP! Foundation’s multi-cultural and international client base; and contribute to the total efforts of a small, dedicated team.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: The Regional Partnership Director will have competence and flexibility in a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Directing JUMP! programs and partnerships in Canada.
Directing Educo Adventure School from April – August.
Oversight and Management of JUMP! Canada’s regional budget & financial systems.
Leading program design and curriculum development for multiple programs, including collaborating with Educators and other program stakeholders.
Managing the monitoring and evaluation for experiential education programs.
Management, mentorship, and professional development all JUMP! Canada team.
Managing Risk Assessment and Risk Management for JUMP! programs in Canada.
Supporting the organizational management of JUMP! Canada organizational entity.
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALITIES:
5+ years of management experience
5+ years work experience in Experiential Education
Project management skills: experience in managing multiple programs of varying size with diverse objectives
Team management skills: experience managing and mentoring high performing program teams
Program design skills: experience in designing experiential education programs and curriculum
objectives
Financial management skills: able to create and manage complex budgets and expense tracking systems and report on financial targets
Stakeholder management skills: ability to foster multiple relationships with diverse program stakeholders
Monitoring and evaluation skills: familiarity with monitoring and evaluation approaches for experiential education programs
Passion for working with youth
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google products
WFR Certification or above
Master’s degree or equivalent experience
PREFERRED QUALITIES:
Program design skills: experience in designing experiential education programs and curriculum that integrate with international school curricula and frameworks (i.e. IB curriculum)
Monitoring and evaluation skills: extensive experience with monitoring and evaluation approaches for experiential education programs
Proficiency in Asana and/ or related project management platforms
Master’s degree in Education, Outdoor Education, Experiential Education, or a related field
Prior experience living and working abroad, in multi-cultural contexts
Experience designing, developing, and facilitating youth education programs
Familiarity with the International School system
Risk management skills: extensive experience in risk management process, including conducting risk assessments, developing safety standards and protocols, and training staff.
